About Oklahoma Director
Why We Do What We Do
Our journey started with a vision – to create a training program that goes beyond textbooks. We’ve impacted over a million lives, earned training excellence awards, and are proud bestselling authors.
But what truly defines us is our commitment to you. We’ve weathered the storms, learned the lessons, and now, we’re here to share our expertise with you. Every aspect of starting and running programs came with growing pains.
Learn from our experience and that of more than four thousand other directors who came before so you don’t have to.

Equipping Generations
We recognize that investing in the next generation of childcare leaders is crucial to ensuring the success and well-being of children in Oklahoma.
About Our Founders
Our founders, Carrie and Kate, have dedicated their lives to equipping passionate people like you to be able to give children a place to grow and develop.
Kate Woodward Young, M. Ed., moved to Oklahoma in 2004 as a military spouse. While stationed at Fort Sill, Kate was an evaluator for the National Afterschool Association and staff with the Oklahoma AEYC. As a military spouse, she understands the unique situation military families face when looking for, and working in, childcare.
Carrie Casey has been in childcare for the majority of her life. She knew at age three that she wanted to run a school. She wanted a place where a child could excel and have adults show interest. A wife and mother of two with school district, non-profit, and franchise experience, Carrie has owned and operated a small chain with four locations and has been a director at six.
